Summer Webinars: Tips n Tricks, 6.1 Reports Migration, and More

At International MUSE in May, our report writing educational sessions were a hit once again. We presented two sessions:

• NPR and Report Designer Tips n Tricks
• 6.1 Reports Migration

For some reason, MUSE didn’t end up recording those educational sessions. That’s OK, though. We’re pleased to offer repeat performances of the sessions via webinar this summer. Click on the links below to register to attend one (or both) of these educational sessions from the comfort of your own office on the dates noted below.

NPR and Report Designer Tips and Tricks

You’ll learn a variety of NPR and Report Designer tips and tricks, including but not limited to:

• SQL from Magic and C/S NPR reports
• Fun with Files from NPR reports — one run sends multiple files, and SMB using append
• Fun with Files from RD reports — build a file and execute a related program
• Attributes for C/S and Magic:
• Lookup of Lab Results (Magic or C/S)
• Co-signing feature in NUR (specific to Magic)

• Load mapping tables into Macros from Files (Magic or C/S)
• Load XML sample into Macros from a File (Magic or C/S)

Attend this session to learn these tricks and more, and have a little fun while you do it.

6.1 Reports Migration

This session is for report writers at MAGIC, Client/Server, or even 6.0 hospitals. Migrating to the 6.1 platform involves a complete re-write of any reports that will use data from M/AT modules. When your hospital converts to 6.1, you will need to write new reports with the “Report Designer” tool, or with SQL out of your Data Repository. The tendency to leave reporting needs until the last minute (or even post-go-live!) is hard to resist. Attend this session to learn how to avoid falling into that trap.
